Decent People Who Deserve a Mention

Links to the websites of people who have been kind to me.  If you think you may have been nice to me, but I haven't included a link, please contact me.

MotionLoco Julia Rounthwaite starred as Jean Seberg in my one-woman play Catching Lightning in a Bottle on all the various outings it had.  She and Terence Mann run their own little theatre company.  Check out MotionLoco.

Peter van der Linden is an old friend of mine.  A very old friend.  He's a bit elderly and whiffy now, but still writes computing books that even I can understand.

*********

David Dilling is an old school friend and runs a school uniform business (no, not THAT kind, you dirty-minded scoundrel).  Check out smart uniform .

*********

La Chauffrette in Etretat is a pleasant little B&B.  Click here to go to the website.  Philippe Mugnier who runs it is an artist-teacher and Anglophile.  He even likes cricket.

*********

Castel Provence is a superb Chambre d'hôte, also in Normandy.  Josette Bourry also makes the most fabulous jams.  Click here for more info.

*********

Domfront is a super old mediaeval town in Lower Normandy.  Eric and Michelle run a smart guesthouse within walking distance of the town and restaurants.  Click here for details.

First Class Educational Establishments

Higham Hall is set in the beautiful Cumbrian landscape between Cockermouth and Keswick.  Fabulous food, friendly staff, the most tremendous views from the front lawn and a course thrown in.

Knuston Hall is another warm, welcoming adult residential centre, this time in Northamptonshire.  The house dates form the 17th Century, as do the jokes of the Centre Manager, Eamonn Flanagan.

Burton Manor College is yet another beautiful building, given over to adult residential education, this time on the Wirral, not far from Chester.  The Ice House is a must-see, but I've been too busy to see it.
